Value-First Bettors
Boomer's Sportsbook
Boomer's Sportsbook is Nevada's newest independent operator, launched August 1, 2025 by former William Hill US CEO Joe Asher and named after his dog. The book positions itself explicitly against the Strip-anchored chains with a value-first pricing model; most notably a reduced-juice -105 NFL price versus the industry-standard -110. On August 6, 2026 the Nevada Gaming Control Board approved Boomer's takeover of the sportsbooks at Four Queens and Binion's on Fremont Street, bringing the operator's licensed footprint to 18 locations pending a final Gaming Commission sign-off; both downtown books are targeting a September 1 opening ahead of the NFL season.
Pros
- Reduced-juice -105 NFL pricing; roughly 2.4 points better break-even than -110
- Fastest-growing satellite footprint in Nevada; 18 licensed locations approved in the first 12 months
- Independent operator; no corporate parent, straight betting culture
- Two downtown Las Vegas books (Four Queens, Binion's) coming Sept 1, 2026
- Deep rural presence including Amargosa Valley (first-ever sportsbook there)
Cons
- Retail-focused; mobile app coverage limited versus Strip flagships
- No signature Strip flagship location
- Satellite books located inside partner casinos rather than owned properties
