Boomer's Sportsbook Hits 15 Locations at One-Year Mark; Two Downtown Books Coming September 1

What Boomer's Is

Boomer's Sportsbook is Nevada's newest independent sports betting operator, founded and led by Joe Asher — the former CEO of William Hill US who oversaw that book's pre-Caesars-acquisition growth in the state. Asher named the company after his dog, and set out with a value-first pricing philosophy designed to peel serious bettors away from the larger Strip-anchored chains.

The operator started with a nonrestricted gaming license out of Elko's Commercial Casino on August 1, 2025, and quickly added satellite operations at Ellis Island in Las Vegas and Casino Valle Verde in Henderson. Twelve months later it is up to 15 retail locations plus 18 deposit-kiosk sites, making it the most aggressive geographic footprint launch of any new Nevada sportsbook in recent memory.

The One-Year Milestone

Boomer's marked its first birthday over the weekend with a set of statements from Asher, who framed the anniversary as validation of the independent operator model in a market that had trended toward chain consolidation.

Downtown Expansion Pending Approval

The biggest expansion news attached to the anniversary: pending Nevada Gaming Control Board approval, Boomer's plans to open two downtown Las Vegas sportsbooks on September 1 — one inside Four Queens Hotel and Casino, one inside Binion's Gambling Hall. Both are heritage downtown properties on Fremont Street, and the additions would bring Boomer's total footprint to 17 locations.

The book also recently received NGCB approval for a new location inside Baldini's Casino in Sparks and, notably, the first-ever sportsbook in Amargosa Valley at the Longstreet Inn — extending legal in-person NV sportsbook betting into a corner of Nye County that had never had one.

Value-First Pricing Is the Product

To celebrate the anniversary and the start of the NFL season, Boomer's is bringing back its signature promotion: reduced-juice -105 pricing on NFL sides. That means customers wager $105 to win $100 instead of the industry-standard $110 to win $100 — a roughly 2.4-point improvement in break-even win rate that adds up meaningfully over hundreds of bets.

Alongside the -105 price, Boomer's launched a special anniversary promo: any three-leg multi-sport parlay of $26 or more placed through Sunday earns a $10 bonus bet to use during the NFL season.

What It Means for Nevada Bettors

Boomer's growth complicates the "12 licensed mobile sportsbook" framing that has defined the post-DraftKings-and-FanDuel Nevada market. As a primarily retail-focused independent, Boomer's is expanding in-person betting into small casinos and remote counties that the Strip-anchored chains ignore — a return to the pre-consolidation Nevada sports betting model that dominated the 2000s.
